What the Client Wanted

Purpose

Hassett approached Natalie Faith Web Designs to update their website to include the firms new branding, boost SEO, minimise unnecessary pages and add videos to their website.

1. Call to Action Features

They wanted to make it really easy for their clients and candidates to get in contact with them. We decided buttons and contact forms in critical locations of the website would give that option to visitors on the site.

2. Website content

The Hassett team wanted a full website content refresh. Which hadn’t been updated since their last website was launched a few years back. They wanted to be able to update this in the future, and have access to their admin.

3. Images

Hassett expressed an interest in getting new images of the team and around the office. They had some team members join the team and finish at the firm since the last website was launched and needed this section up-to-date.

What I did

Development

I created a beautiful clean easy-to-navigate layout for the Hassett team that showed their new brand colours, style and personality. I built their website using WordPress as it allows them to easily self-manage their website, something they expressed they wanted to do. I trained the team on how to use the WordPress CMS to update their website content.

1. Apply Branding

Hassett went through a re-brand prior to engaging with Natalie. After the re-brand, their website no longer represented their brand and identified a few other features they wanted to have on their website. After consulting with the Hassett team, I created a layout that presented their information clearly and also showed their brand personality. As their brand colours are black and white, I introduced some grey hues to soften the website so it felt warm and welcoming.

2. SEO Boost

Hassett has an established SEO presence on search engines, but they wanted it to increase so more of their audience could find them. I optimised their website page copy so it was engaging and .

We engaged a photographer to take photos of the team and office so visitors to the site know Hassett’s personality when viewing any page of the site. During this phase, the photographer from The Biz Photography added keyword tags to the images meta data. I also implemented some SEO tools to increase the images SEO from a web perspective.

3. Features

For their website I created two call to action buttons on the front page to get allow visitors to find information as quickly as possible. They had a “Call the Team” button and a “Visit the Assignments page” button.

They wanted to give their clients the option to be able to upload a video resume, so a feature was implemented to give their clients this option. I lined it to a contact form so staff at Hassett were able to contact this contact about possible assignment options. They reported this feature has successful worked for a candidate already (one week of the website being live).

I also set them up on Goggle Analytics so they can monitor how many visitors they have coming to their website and what marketing attracts them. I also added this data to their WordPress login so they only have to use the one login to see their website information.
